White Truck

Looking to see what everyone thought. Thinking of getting my mirrors painted white to match the truck. Just recently replaced the black handles with white ones. Now wondering if i should go with all white painted mirrors or if i should by the lower chrome cover pieces and then paint the the tops but that still leaves the base portion as black. Anyone seen anything done yet? I have seen one with the escalade mirrors on it and that is cool but don't have the money to invest in the escalade mirrors. Any options anyone has i would love to hear. I can do all the work myself except the painting. Looking to go with the smooth surface to match the handles.

Well from what I see on your info I say go for it. If the all white look is what you are going for? Sounds like it will look clean but hard to keep clean lol…

I think the white one's look good but Ive been looking at the chrome ones also may do those in the future.

Maybe this is the one you've seen but it looks fine with the chrome lower, the painted upper and the black base. It seems it might be the cheaper option rather than taking them off and having the whole thing painted.

I just saw an 07 Silvy that was all white.....door handles, tail gate handle and complete mirror not just the cap. It had a real clean look. I would do it, you'll love the look

Even your mud flaps are white huh? In that case, I'd definitely consider painting the entire mirror assemblies white. It would be a little more work and money than just getting some caps, but I think that it would look great. You'd have a very clean monochrome look going on, and it would certainly be unique

Lookin' good I like how you have the splash guards painted as well. I would go with the lower chrome portion for the mirrors and paint the tops white or just save up for the Escalade mirrors. I'd also do some wheel well liners to get rid of that white/black contrast in the wells and unless your going to put a lid or tonneau on the bed maybe paint the tailgate lip? If you want everything to be all white as well I've seen a Sierra with color matched front and rear bumpers. Post some pics when your done.

 

Oh I also forgot to add I'd wait and get all the pieces you want painted until you have them all or have made the deicision to get whatever else painted just for color matching purposes so they are all painted with the same batch of paint.

I am a huge fan of the "monochromatic" look. I wish I had less chrome on mine.

I think the monochromatic paint schemes look cheap and makes the whole truck look less functional. It'll look like the windows and tires were taped and the truck was rolled through a Maaco paint both, like a car wash. Besides, it's not exactly a unique style. There's nothing wrong with a little contrast.

 

Of course I say this while my track car is black with black wheels, which I've since grown to hate. I'll change 'em out sooner or later but don't want to spend money on that crap.

I like the look of the LTZ mirror caps in white. I added them to my truck for 60 bucks and it changed the whole look. Mes in post 4 has them and it looks great. I'm interested in the painted handles, where did you pick them up and how much??

I was trying to decide whether to get the chrome or the painted mirrors and door handles when I realized I have another option-- LEAVE THEM BLACK. I prefer the Black/White look. I think that the contrast really makes the truck look sharp. Plus I get to save some $$$.
