07 Chev 6.0l Block Heater Npt Plug Location

Have used the site search engine and can not find any info on where the instalation location is for the engine block heater on a aluminum 6.0l 2007 block. I just purchased a block heater from Gm and am going to instal. Sounds like the 5.3l's are located on drivers side rear of block. I look on mine and can not see one at the rear but I do see one at the front of the block on the drivers side. Is this the location? Also, how do you drain the radiator as there does not seem to be a drain plug?

Your right on both accounts,The heater goes in the front of the drivers side of the block on the 6-liters.

And there is no drain plug,I would just unscrew the water jacket plug and let whatever coolant comes out come out,Thats what I did on my '04 I had when I installed the block heater in it. (Or you could remove the lower radiator hose also)
