Would Not Going Into Reverse

My truck would not go into reverse this morning. Took me a couple of times of P to R to P to R before engaging.

 

What now!?

 

 

PS: sorry for the topic title. I put "would" after the fact and forgot to change "going" to "go".

Um, maybe call your dealer? Just a thought.

Could be as simple as a shift cable adjustment or it could be worse. Tough to tell. On your way to the dealer for a "could not duplicate"

yeah yeah, i know. It is just a hassle. Its about a 30 min drive to the dealer and I like to have an idea of what maybe going on so I can say "check here first."

exactly what i'm afraid of! oh well, maybe it was a fluke...its was just below freezing this morning, but this is not the first time the truck has seen temps like this.
