Traction Assist

My '02 Sierra 4.8L 4L60E 2wd will deactivate the traction assist whenever the roads get wet. I drive 15 miles to work on country roads at about 60 and it will turn off about 1/2-way there. We're talking straight-line no funny-stuff normal driving. Is this a normal condition? Why?

no its not normal,are your lights on in the dash,you have an ABS code I bet witch diables ABS and TCS,get it scanned and diag'd,electrical diag here is difficult at best ,good luck

No dash lights and no codes. Nothing! It just deactivates for no apparent reason. Is there something that could be getting wet and causing this?

yes an abs code ,try a tech 2 scanner at a dealer ,makes no sense if no codes
