Havent really raced many people but, how much will the 6'' lift hold me back in the racing department? Mods are in Sig i do have 4.10 gears running 91 tune, just changed over to Royal Purple, and planning on a Volant CAI soon

Forget the 6" lift the 35"s are killing you. The only people I would try racing would be other lifted trucks...maybe off road?

A supercharger would make sure you dont have to worry. The 35s are definately going to slow you a little, but not too much. They dont weigh that much more but its just the huge rotating mass. It will probably run head to head with a 5.3 with 3.73s

:P The 35's are big. Once your getting up to the higher speeds, say 70mph, all the extra ride height is playing a factor.

It's not just the weight of the 35's that are killing you, it's the combination of the 35's with the 4.10 gears. The best way to gain back most of what you lost is to swap them out for 4.56, or possibly even 4.88's. Your transmission will also thank you, and the truck will probably get better gas mileage, since it's pretty under-geared with the 4.10s.

How much would a gear swap run me, i thought about that a while ago but never really looked into it. and with the gears in the high 4.00's that will slow down the high end speed correct or no?

With 4.56 gears, you will be wound very tight at 80mph. What kind of racing can you actually DO with an Excab 5500 lb vehicle?

Gear swap would be very pricey, since it is 4WD you would have to change gears in both axles. You would be lucky to get them changed for under $1000.
