You should be able to look at the diff. up close and tell exactly where it is coming from. If it is coming from around the cover, that is a 20 min. fix and cheap. You could get a whole chrome cover and gasket for next to nothing, or some good ol' form-a-gasket. Summit has the chrome covers and gaskets for like $30-$40... If it is coming from up by the driveshaft side it is leaking around your pinion gear, alittle more complicated to fix but still not too bad. Like I stated before just crawl under and look, you will be able to tell where it is coming from, most likely around the cover. I would take this as a chance to look inside your diff. anyway. Look for metal shavings in the bottom (there is a magnet) or flaking on the gears. If there is alittle shavings that is "normal" just make sure there isn't an excessive amount. A truck of that age it doesn't hurt to refresh the oil anyway.

Thanks man..

I looked under it today and noticed that the leak was coming from in between the covers it looks as though there was no gasket but that putty seal stuff and because of the winter weather up here in mass it finally just cracked...I just wasnt sure but I also remembered that the kid I bought it from put a mini spool in it and recommended the spider gear back in but i think he just maybe didnt "fully put it together again" and rigged it together also i think he put it in the summer so which would explain not going through the winter cold yet...I'll definately look into it more Thanks again
