gravedigger Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 I have a 99 sierra 1500 2wd and when i'm rolling i hear a squeeking sound coming from what i believe is the wheels. I havent determined what wheel or wheels it is coming from. anyone have an idea. also it doesn't do it at higher speeds. im thinking maybe a warped rotor andat higher speeds im going too fast to notice it?

I had similar squeeking coming from drivers rear wheel. Turned out that one of the brake retainer shims had a couple of broken tabs allowing the pads to move. More noise with a very slight turn of the wheel to the left while driving and no noise with slight to the right. Just a thought.

Easy to replace.
