Any Special Valve Stems For Tpms?

I bought new wheels and tires, I am going to reuse the Tire pressure monitors from my stock tires.

 

I will need to buy valve stems for the new tires, do they need to be anything special to work with the TPMS? or do I just need to buy any valve stems?

They are special. The threaded brass shank extends out of the mounting flange on the inside of the wheel. GM sells them $7-$8, I'm unsure if they are available aftermarket.

the tpms is on the inside of the rim on mine and regular short valve stems. What is so special about them. Im not trying to be a smart ass just never noticed anything special about them.
