Trailer Wiring

Hi, I've got a '04 GMC Yukon 5.3l and was wondering about the wiring setup for trailering. I've got my brake controller wired up to the plug that plugs in under the dash and understand all that but does the 7-prong plug at the rear already have the auxiliary power for charging the batteries on my trailer?

thanks in advance,

Andy

no, you have to remove the red B+ dummy fuse from the under hood fuse block and install a 40 amp j-case fuse.

Is that it? I thought I heard somewhere that I'ld need to place a "solinoid" in there somewhere, but is it already in there? Sorry my original post was not specific enough but I am currently modifiying my tent trailer and it only had the "4-flat" plug for the lights but know I've added electric brakes and thought that it would be nice to have the truck charge the battery since I have to switch to the 7-prong plug anyway.

thanks,

Andy
