Couple Of Issues...

Well I have a couple of issues with my 2005 Silverado Z71 crew cab.

1: Dash, 4WD shift on fly panel and Steering wheel cluster lights are dropping like flies...im not too concerned about them but i was wondering how difficult it would be to change them and how?

2: Grunt noise when pulling away from a stop...ive been told this could possibly be the u-joints in the rear and i really hope it isnt since im passed my manuf. warranty.

Thats about it really. Nothing else I can think of. Just curious if anyone has any pointers on the matter and if they are simple fixes or if i should just take the truck to the dealer and get them to do the work...but id like to know a cost as well.

Thanks for your time.

Also, i have this kind of whistling noise whenever i go around a sharp turn between 15-30mph

The "grunt" you feel. Is it more like a clunk or a couple of squeaks till you pass say 10mph or so?

The whistling you hear, may be a front wheel hub going out.

Cant help ya on the dash.

more like a clunk.

The whistling sounds like something in the dash...nothing outside.

I wonder how much it would cost to take it to GM and have em rip off the dash and install the lights. I know id be better off doing it myself, but i dont want to break any tabs or anything.
