golfballs Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 I have a GMC g2500 5.7. In the morning it may take 5 to 30 seconds to start. After its warm it will start instantly but when i turn the motor off for about 1 hour or more it will be back to not starting for a while. Does anyone have any ideas what the issue can be ? Thank you.

pennzoil29 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 you didn't mention what year or how many miles are on it. is the ses light on? like mentioned before it could be fuel pressure or a possible timing issue.

I bought a scanner form autozone to pull the code and i was playing around with it and it said ignition adv 24 to 25, Is that the timing and is that correct ? If thats not correct can i loosen the dist and turn it untill the engine runs smooth ?
golfballs Posted April 6, 2008 Author Posted April 6, 2008 I solved the issue with the p1351 code, i reinstalled the old mod and the code is gone. I still have the issue with the engine shake and the engie starting when it been sitting for 1 hour or more.
