Need Fuel Pump/level Sensor Advice Please...

Have a 99' silverado 1500, 94,000 miles. Fuel level sensor is shot, but the pump still produces decent pressure. No whine from the pump yet. I want to fix the level sensor, so the fuel guage will actually work correctly. My question is- should I replace the whole pump assembly while I'm at it, or just use the fuel level sensor kit to fix this problem, and possibly have to go back sometime in the future and do the whole thing (when the pump goes out)? Also, what advice would you give on quality of pump- only use AC DELCO, or go cheap with the made-in-China stuff?

well AC delco is probly the best way to go, and as for changing the pump, well, honestly you`ll never know when she`ll quit on yah, could be tommorow, could be years from now, i`d say if you really like your truck, got the extra cash around for it, throw her in, if your changing your sender in the driveway, you`ll quickly realise you don`t wanna do that twice ( at least not for a couple years  ) to install a new pump later. The choice of doin the pump is really up to you, i know it would be a tough choice, the complete pump sender assy are usually pretty $$$$.
