No AFM. Mine gets 17.3 average since new. 6600 miles and counting.

Those 3.23 gears will help on the highway. My mom got an '05 CCSB 5.3L Auto with 3.23 gears and gets 19mpg on the highway easy.

Yeah, i have the 4.8 with 3.23 but a crew cab and I get 18 on the highway cruising at 78. But in the city the mileage will decrease heavily b/c of the 3.23

 

I am thinking about upping my gears b/c i do more city with little highway mixed in. But on an average tank with city and highway combined i'll average 16.8

Hey,that combination sounds pretty familiar. I'm getting right at 17mpg now according to my DIC. During the winter it was around 14-16. I have gotten 19.5 unloaded on a longer highway run.
