New Katzkin Leather Interior

I just finished installing Katzkins in my '07 GMC Sierra SLE. I was so tired of dealing with GM on the ebony seat lint issue, and running around since early October, with two different seat covers (front vs. rear). So I decided to order some Katzkin leather covers.

 

Installation took about two hours for the back seats. They were fairly easy. The front buckets were more challenging, especially the headrests. Those took me about four hours total. But the center front seat was unbelievably trying. That alone took me almost four hours.

 

Right now, my hands are all cut up, bruised, and just plain sore. But the effort was well worth it.

Very Nice! those look excellent. Now are they just covers or the actual skin that replaces the cloth? Oh and that little bit of wrinkling you have on the front seats, a little bit of heat will take that away but not too much becuase when the trucks sitting in the sun that leather will tighten it self up.

Oh, these are the real McCoy. Pulled the cloth off and stretched the leather on. That's why I'm so sore right now.

I purchased them through a group buy on another board for $570. Took about 4 weeks.

Thanks. Yeah, the center console, jump seat was a real PITA. Broke the latch for the seat bottom, and it's not available as a separate part, but I'm working on a fix for that.

the rear bottoms went on really fast... but now am stuck

 

perhaps u can answer a question

 

i cannot figure out how to get the pockets off the front seats nor how to remove the covers from the rear top. i dont think the back fold forward at all. any clues?
