Fuel Filter

Just a quick stupid question... Does the 2005 2500HD 6.0L have a fuel filter? I have looked everywhere and cannot find it. I can't even find a part number for one on-line. If it doesn't, how is it filtered?

I would think it would be in the usual place. Right under the drivers side door up along the frame rail.

No external filter there is an element filter in the tank. No service necessary(or so they say we'll see).

The '04+ trucks have the filter in the tank.

Boy oh boy, I sure am not happy about not being able to change it. Oh well, thanks guys. It's been one of those things that has been bugging me.

Has anyone added an inline serviceable filter like an aeromotive or similar product. I'm getting irritated at not having a fuel filter. Especially following last week when a drunk kid started screwing with my gas cap at a 4th of july party. Wasn't really that concerned considering it is a 34 gallon tank and anything liquid he put in there would be dispersed, but anything else..... with no filter on the line other than the pick-up in the tank... Time to add a filter!
