New guy here,96 Silverado, 5.7 almost 200,000 on it. Truck starts and idles fine but when you try to open the throttle it die's. Wifes uncles I am trying to help, started while he was driving. If you very slowly open the throttle in park it will rev up. He has throwed all kinds of parts at it so far, cap, button, module, map senser, throttle positioner, fuel filter, air temp. I got by and put the code scanner on it 1st code was something to do with the trans control, 2nd was p1100, which was an error with the scan tool. Fuel pressure was 50 at idle but it bleeds off soon as you turn it off. Acts like fuel issue to me,book says 63psi and I just dont think thats it. Its weak but I just cant see it causing it to die sitting in park. Thanks for any help...........

Well if anyone is interested I fixed uncle T's truck. I pulled the tank and found between the fuel pump and hard line a small box with silicone gorments on each end to seal the lines. Well I guess over time being soaked in gas they got loose and were almost pushed off the pump side. So it was getting just enough flow to keep it idling but nothing else. I made him put it back together and he just got a short piece of high psi fuel line and clamps and all is well again............
