1998 Gmc Radio Wiring

I need a diagram or schematic of the radio wiring for a 1998 GMC Sierra. So far the ones I have found are incomplete as far as my factory harness goes. I have a green/white, and green/black pair of wires that are not called out on any harness diagrams I have found online.

 

Also, can I use the power antenna lead for an amplifier's remote in?

Not sure on the green/white green/black wires, my assumption is that they are positve negative for one of the speakers. Might want to look at one of the aftermarket wireharness clips at Autozone or Best Buy, they will show what the color codes are for.

And Yes you can use the power antenna lead for an amplifier remote turn on.

They are actually green and green/white---and they don't terminate to the aftermarket harness that used to be connected to a Pioneer that was stolen. This pair is just all lonely by themselves.

 

My fear on the antenna lead is that it will turn off when I switch to cd....I'll just test it out unless someone else can spit some more knowledge...

Looks like the Dark Green/White wire is the vehicle speed sensor line (if you have a radio with speed sensitive volume) and the Dark Green/Black wire is the data line (OnStar?).

Did OnStar exist in 1998 when this truck was made?

My GMC !998 has a dark green wire, dark green with white stripe, then also medium green, and also a lime green wires all coming to where radio should be. prior to thieves, of course.
