I have never seen or heard my engine fan cut on. When do yall's kick in? How often?

That's a cool running engine! j/k They're not objectionally loud to me. I've noticed mine running generally after I come to a stop. You can watch while it idles awhile or force it by popping your hood with the a/c on and observe. The fans will generally spin up corresponding with a/c cycles. Then you'll know what to listen for.

I can hear mine after I shut the motor off in my carport because it sounds like a turbine winding down.. and sometimes I can hear one of them at a stop light.. Its a quiet truck!

your right...turn on the ac and away it goes. my last truck was a belt driven fan so i was wondering what conditions made this electric fan cut on.
