Steering Loose

is it true that there is a steering tightining somewhere under the hood my steering wheel is so loose and i just put new tie rods on ?????

There is still the pitman and idler arms that could be worn. The steering box also has an allen bolt w/lock nut. Turning the allen bolt less than half of a facet should be enough to make a difference. It is easy to overdo this adjustment and make the steering stiff. It will wear you out to drive the truck if this is too tight.
