Yuker Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I just bought a 2008 Silverado ext cab 4X4. The window sticker says it has Remote Vehicle Starter System, the key fob has the little picture of and arrow going in a circle and in the DIC I have it turned on, but it won't work. Is this jsut the prep package or is there something the dealer has to do? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
CalixEros Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Are you doing it properly?? You need to lock your doors with the remote then hold down the start button for a few seconds. This is to prevent accidental starts. Your dealer probably should have explained this to you when you picked up the truck.

I was not holding the button long enough, I just tried it and it works fine. The dealer told me it was just the prep package, but the window sticker said different. It works great and thank you for your help.
