Adding 06+ Towing Mirrors To A 00nbs With No Power

I have a 2000 GMC 2500 NBS (same as 01-02 truck) with manual mirrors. I bought a set of 06 oem towing mirrors. My truck has power door locks but manual mirrors and windows. I did some searching and read a lot of the posts about adding the mirrors. I could not find any post about adding the mirrors to a truck that has no power mirrors. I also read that some of the trucks have a DDM (driver door module) and a PDM (passanger...), my truck has power door locks but I think they are not modules and they are just switches. Anyone add these mirrors and get them to work on a truck with no power mirrors? Can I buy the arm rest with the power mirror switch and get this to work?

I am not sure if anyone has done it, but the electrical system architecture on '03 and up trucks are completely different than yours. That in itself would make it very difficult.
