Some Diy Things

I picked up an 04 Silverado and it looks like it was not cared for

as well as it should have been.The throttle body has a nice coat

of black film on it and the MAF has the same.The truck is at 50K

now so the question is what are the things to check,change on

this thing?

 

 

Any tricks I should know before I try to remove and clean

the TB on the 5.3?

Fluids are always a good idea on a used truck with questionable care by the previous owner.

All the fluids:

Coolant

Trans

Oil

Differential(s)

and T-Case if 4x4

 

Make sure the power steering level and brake fluid level are good, check the spark plugs, air pressure, balance, and alignment, check all the bulbs and brakes. Theses are some of the things I would do if I bought a used vehcile if it was in need.
