Need Some Help Finding A Part

Recommended Posts

So my girlfriend was driving home after a rainstorm and drove over a washout, hit a rock, which put a hole in her transaxle pan. I went to the dealer to order a new part and the parts guy is an idiot and couldn't find it. I also emailed gmpartsdirect.com but they don't want to respond to my emails. So here I am asking for your help to find me a transaxle pan for the 2.2L Ecotec. I would be willing to buy from your dealership and have you ship to me.

I am back to the parts counter now in Maryland wich alittle far away from you but if you have an automatic and this is just the pan itself then check out gm# 8685184

this will include the magnet inside the pan but wont include the gasket PN 24203590

these are fairly simple to get ahold of any gm dealer could order this for a local pdc just have them check those out if thats what your looking for. Other than that give me you vin number and ill check it out for you.

Man... ya gotta LOVE a dealership whose parts counter guy can't find a TRANNY PAN!

WOW... the longer I do this crap the less I am able to believe the stupidity.

Luckily most dealers have somebody with a brain STILL WORKING THERE.

Threads like this is why I don't "just go to the parts counter and let the guy tell me what part # I need." I try to research it on my own, before I go, so I have another point of reference.......

Yea I went to another dealership about 50 miles away and he had the pan right in stock, with the gasket, and the filter. So I picked it up and installed it all about 3 weeks ago.

Gmpartsdirect.com never did help me out, they sent an email but it didn't say a word about what number it was or how much it was. I don't trust my local dealership. The boys that work there don't even like GM, they just work there cause it was the only job available for them.
