Heater Hose Quick-connects Broke

A few months ago, one of the heater hose connects, at the firewall, broke, at a parking lot. As I turned into the space, steam blew out of the hood. I thought it was smoke first, until I opened it. The whole engine area was wet, and the heater hose connect was broke in half. I have 112,000 miles on the truck now, and it's 9 years old. So, if you have never replaced these, think about it. The two connects were $30. You will need a quick-disconnect tool, to slide in, behind the connect, then pull towards you, to release it. I bought it at pep boys. The Lisle brand is in a set of 6, different colors, but longer. Fuel disconnects won't work.
