Which Would Be Better? Any Opinions?

I am trading in my high mileage 2003 silverado 2500hd crew cab short box. I am considering two different late model low mileage trucks. A 2007 LBZ durmax/ 6 speed alison with the LT1 options with 5K miles on it. Or a 2006 LLY durmax / 6 speed alison with the LT3 options package with leather and sun roof but it has 22K miles on it and only 2 months left on the bumper to bumper warranty. The 2006 can be had for about $1,000 dollars less. I can't decide....the 2007 was like new and it definately felt more powerful and smoother. The 2006 had all the bells and whistles, bose stereo, etc, etc. I'm assuming it was an early 2006 to get the LLY engine. Will the LLY get better gas milleage? I don't tow much anymore but carry a heavy truck camper instead so maybe I don't need the extra power of the LBZ? Any opinions out there? Thanks!

They are identical vehicles, except for tuning. Get the one that is more attractive to you, and forget the power for now. If you want to change the tuning, EFILive can allow you to have the tuning of the other vehicle. I have done this with other vehicles.

Unless you can drive the price down on the 06, the 07 is the better deal. At 5K on the clock, it's basically a new truck! The fluff on the 06 shouldnt bring the price up to within $1K of what is for all intents a NEW truck.

It shouldn't, but it does. I'm a wholesaler and I could wholesale them both for exactly the same money right now. I guess some people put an emphasis on options when they're paying that much for a vehicle anyway.

I'd personally buy the 06 because what's 17K when you comparing 5k to 22k? Plus, I love buttons.

Don't forget that the 07 also has a 5 year/100k warranty...

Thanks for all the opinions. I am picking up the 07 today. Even though I am used to all the creature comforts like in my old truck I decided to go with the newer and peppier one, it is a truck afterall, lol. The bumper to bumper warranty is ending on the 06 at the end of august while the 07 still has a couple of years left on the factory warranty and a long powertrain warranty. Now I have to get used to having a diesel.

Why the hell don't I have a sign?!?

You were so hung over and still drunk from the night before that you actually thought that you were holding your sign... When is reality you couldnt remember where you had left it... I think that you put it in the back of vmax2007's truck and it flew out going down the road....
