I was wondering were in the hell is the button to change the display of farenheit to celsius on the rearview mirror in a nbs Sierra. It doesn't say anything in the manuel about were it actually is. Thanks.

If you have the Driver Information Center (DIC) and the 4 buttons that control it, cycle through the options on the 3rd button (I think) and see if the English/metric option is there.

Press and hold the on/off button for the mirror for several seconds. I believe that's where you change it from F to C.. and I think that is also how you can temporarily disable the auto-tinting feature...

That changes the DIC not the mirror. I do believe holding the power button works, it did it the last rig I had.

That only changes the readings on the DIC in the cluster,Not the mirror,You have to push & hold the button on the mirror to change it.

For the 2007+ new body-style Sierras and Silverados with the mirror like the one shown below, do this :

Press and hold the power button on the mirror for about 5 seconds :

The display will start blinking (either "F" or "C" depending on which one it is currently on) :

Press the power button again to change from C to F or from F to C :

Wait a few seconds and it will go back to the temp display :

EDIT : Added clarification that this applies to 2007+ NBS trucks.

i see now sry mis-read exactly what was meant sry guys

No harm. No foul! No problem! :D

The longer I sat here, remembering what I had accidentally found a few weeks ago, the more I questioned what I had done and what those steps had actually accomplished.... hence the pictures. I wanted to go out there and double-check myself. :D
