New Volant Powercore Intake Installed!

Well, this weekend i finally had time to slap on the ole Westin Polished Stainless Nerf Bars and the ole Volant PowerCore Cold Air Intake Kit.

 

I'd have to say, the I was very impressed with the Volant PowerCore CAI. I have had many of intakes, AEM, K/N, Air Raid, Volant, and by far this appication was by far the easiest without having instructions just some part sheet. I had volant on a 01 Dodge Ram 1500 Off Road and it did not fit that perfect. Since then I went with the other brands you see listed. I was going back with the AEM since the dry filter and it worked great on my GTO. Then I saw that Volant had this new PowerCore Dry filter. Needles to say, I gave them another shot and now I'm sure glad I did. I'll try to post a few phone pics.

 

The westin bars look awesome and really look nice with my chrome 20's. The body mount bolts that Westin provided were too small. The bolts were not big enough in diameter so I reused the factory ones which looked stronger anyway. Other than that it was a great install. Whew, I've had some westin's in my past also.

 

Here are some pics of the gray ghost!!! Why the gray ghost? Because it suddenly appears and goes by you in an instant before it disappears from your windshield!!!LOL
