What Could It Be?

When I let off the brake from a stand still, and step on the accelerator I feel something shift, it gives the sensation of something in the suspension stepping down. I can also duplicate it by releasing the brake and allowing the truck to roll forward and feel it within a foot or so. Anyone care to opine?

Yssir... Your slip yoke needs to be greased. Pull the driveshaft and grease the yoke with some marine grade bearing grease. I had the same issue on my 01 Silverado. Sometimes sitting at a light it felt like somebody bumped into me when I let off of the brake. The grease trick made it go away.

Why marine grease instead of regular automotive?
