Never liked Bud beer but it is sad to see another fine American company sold to another part of the world.

"Where are we going... anf WHY are we in this handbasket?"

Anyone can be bought out, just name the right price. There's a tear in my beer tonight.

Never a big Bud fan either but there is not many beers better than an ice cold Michelob. Not the ultra or the lite, but the full leaded Michelob is about as good as any beer out there.

I do hate to see this but as already been said, $52,000,000,000.00 is lot of money. :banghead:

Looks like its time for a switch to Samuel Adams. Stupid A-B, thats what you get for publicly trading your company.

I seriously don't see the big deal. companys merge everyday. Miller Lite is owned by an African company and Coors is going to or has already merged with a foreign company as well. jobs aren't going anywhere so why does anyone care?

The jobs may still be here, but where are all of the large profits going? I can bet that they will not be helping the U.S. economy.

There will be a lot more money traveling to a select few out of our country, which means that we will never benefit from it.

It doesn't matter on the company, this is still a sad situation.

How do you figure? The employees are still working here, getting paid here, and spending their money here. That is what helps the economy; jobs, income, spending. The rich fuggers who owned it before have most of their money tucked away in Switzerland or elsewhere anyway. Would it be nice to see it stay an all-American company? Sure. Will it make the economy collapse farther? Not a chance.

I'm certainly not going to lose sleep over this, its just disappointing to see an American Icon be sold to a foriegn company.

There has been a lot of discussion in the "trade" about that exactly.

A-B is a very BIG spender as related to marketing $. Not just in commercials but in sponsored events and other related things. InVeb spends very little on advertising.

A-B has a lot of people that are, so to speak, fat in the middle, when it comes to employees. InVeb is notorious for pinching the penny (or whatever coin they have).

When A-B InVeb reduces the advertising budget, a hole will be created for the lessor know beer brands to take up the slack. But then, with the buying power of A-B Inveb, the little guy won't be able to afford the price to buy any retail store shelf space.

I agree, Adolph is rolling over in his grave.
