Bds Leveling Kit

Recommended Posts

I was looking at BDS's front leveling kit and it looks like theirs mounts on top of the strut instead of the bottom like Rough Country's. I don't know if that makes any kind of difference, just curious if anyone has BDS's on their truck or if anyone knows if that is a better way of doing it.

Almost all the kits except the RC kit are top mount. I don't know if top mount is better or worse but chose the RC kit b/c I liked that fact that it was easier to install and didn't require any manipulation of the OE strut bolts.

As far as leveling spacers work. They all work fine. What makes Rough Country's kit sweeter is that you dont have to cut the factory studs on top of the struts because you are installing the kit from the bottom of the struts. RC tries to make everything simplier if possible. That is how they can keep pricing down. Their part # is 1307 and they sell it for 69.95 on the 07-08 Chevy GMC 1/2 ton 4x4 and 2x4 models. It is a 3 piece spacer and you chose if you want 1" - 1.5" - or 2" of height by stacking them.

Can any one with the RC leveling kit (or any kit) post pics of your CV angles? And also how's the ride after the installation? I am looking at the RCD kit, it's basically a set of long travel shocks with adjustable stops for different front end hight. They also add droop travel which if you don't have enough will affect the ride.

Thanks
