Vin Check? And The Handle In Front Of The Passenger Seat

So, I don't know if anyone can ask, but can I get a ViN check?

Also, My ambient light sensor fell down through my dash, I took it apart using some diagrams and what not on the web, and now everything is back together EXCEPT the right side of the handle in front of the passenger seat won't go in. It goes in almost all the way but not enough to "click" in. It just comes to a hard stop, nothing I can do makes it go in. Below is a picture of the bar

Anything anyone can think of that would be happening to cause it not to go in?
