2008 Denali Defective Amp

So the dealer believes that my factory amp has crapped out, however they won't know for sure if it's the amp until they replace it. They were hoping to remove an amp from a vehicle on the lot to test it, but they have told me they are multiple choices for the replacement amp and they won't know which one to order until they pull the original out. Can anyone please confirm that this is true? I would think as long as the truck on the lot has the same options as my truck that they should have the same amp?
