2007 Nbs Winter Rims W/o Tpms?

I have a 2007 GMC sierra 1500 2wd with the Tire pressure monitoring system. Can I run a plain steel rim for my snow tires w/o TPMS sensors? Will I have any problems doing this?

The warning will be on. You cannot disable TPMS

Thanks for the replys, I was hoping it would self cancel after a few days like my wife's 2006 pontiac vibe. The light would flash for a few days and then goes away completly until I put the summer rims back on and reset.

Nope, he is right, the sensors are $5 each at the dealer. Why, you didn't just pay alot more for them, did you daddy? That would be a shame.

I understood it as they'll swap the TPMS into the new wheels for $5.

Yup, and you can do the relearn for free at home so id just put new sensors in the wheels.
