2001 Yukon Xl 4l60e Replacement Vss Issue?

Hello all,

New to the forum here, long time reader, first time poster. I have an issue with my 2001 Yukon XL 1500. Here is the background. Replaced my original 4L60E tranny with a remanufactured one upon failure of original at 125K miles. Now the new transmission won't engage into any forward gear. When the vehicle is off the ground, reverse works fine but when shifted into drive the rear wheels will spin at idle then lock up when power is applied. In addition, the speedo is not working - the needle sits at the far right past 100 mph. Given the symptoms, I replaced the VSS with a new one only to have the same problem.

Any suggestions on what else could be the culprit?
