Water dripping from tailpipe

I have a 1999 Chevy Suburban 1500 4x4.  I bought it used with 52K miles. It now has 62k miles.  While my wife was driving it and I was following behind, I noticed water dripping from the right side tailpipe (it has dual).  Since it was in the warm afternoon, I don't think it was condensation.  I remembered that shortly after I bought it, I had to take it back to the dealer as the brace (mount, whatever its called) broke, leaving the pipe hanging.  They rewelded it, but its clear that it broke because it was rusted.  THere is still a considerable amount of rust inside the pipe, so I am sure it will break again.  What causes this water?  Is it normal?  There is no water on the left pipe, and no sign of rust.  Also, when its parked, I see water stain on the pavement, evidence of a leak bacl there.  Can anyone think of what the problem might be?

PS...

I don't think there is a problem with the headgasket.  There is no evidence of it.

Hey soupkid. Most likley it's the different fuel mixture the oil companies switch to during winter months. Several things to check might be milking looking engine oil (Head gasket) or oil residue in the radiator or overflow canister. Pull the spark plugs. If your getting water in the cylinder(s), the plug should have a crusty buildup or discoloration on the plug. You could also take it to a radiator shop and have them pressure test for leaks. If it bleeds off, you have a leak in the radiator or head gasket.

Water slowly drippin' from exhaust pipe, Is a good thing! They taught us in engine class(DBCC FL.)That means that you were getting the most from your gas,your engine has complete combution of the supplied air/fuel!

        Now only if the exhaust would not rust from the inside out!! :0

A by-product of burning carbon based fuels (gas being one of them) is H2O (water).  This water by-product can contribute to your exhaust system rusting out.  All the more reason to avoid short trips.  The longer your trip the more the exhaust system heats up to evaporate this excess moisture.
