mipsco1 Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Hey all how's it going, I just got my new off road/driving lights installed today and my new truxedo cover. The lights were not bad to install except that GM does not seem to believe in making any accessible holes in the fire wall. I wanted to keep a clean look so I finally made use of that stupid dash pocket. The cover took all of 5 min to install and I went with this model because I can keep my box rails on. thought I would show you guys and hear what you think. later
ebrownco Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Nice, I like bull bars on that body style. There is never anything wrong with having extra light to see, and they fill the space nicely! The choice in bed covers is overwhelming, Truxedo was on my short list when I was shopping.
2000DV4.8 Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Looks great, the lights make the bull bar look 1000x better.
Zembonez Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Looks really good. Is that the Westin bar you have on the front?
pwall Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Looks good. Especially like the bull-bar with the lights. Those are on my short-list of thinks to put on the truck.
jhoff8487 Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 What brand of bullbar is that? The setup looks really nice.
mipsco1 Posted August 25, 2008 Author Posted August 25, 2008 Its a cheaper version of a westin bull bar. Its an aries but it was a lot cheaper and as you can see many think its the westin. the front end set up was around 600 lights and bar with all wiring. they had a sale on the cover reg 699 on for 449 so i had to pick it up.
jhoff8487 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Where'd ya find that deal? I might be interested. I've been looking at the Westin Bull Bar and some PIAA lights but if the price is right, this would probably work in a pinch as well.
97SierraGMC Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 wow, if you paid 499 for a truxport you got ripped off
