How the heck is my car's bid so low? there are worse deals on there right now. I've sold a car on ebay before, but I'm not seeing a problem that would constitute this! In fact, the high bidder has even contacted me, and brought up the fact wondering about it being bid so low!(I think he was wondering if there was a problem he didn't know about, and there isn't, I told him I'm suprised too) If you haven't seen, check the link in my sig above the pic(no, this isn't an ad for my auction, that link has been there a week everyone has to know by now).

Try advertising it as the Miracle Corvette with the face of of John Lennon in the driver's seat. That should bring out the nut jobs and you'll make out like a bandit! :dunno:

how much do you think it's worth by the way?

 

1994 Corvette convertible 110k miles, clean not outstanding condition has private party value of about $6k in my area.

you can't find a nice C4 convertible around here for under 9K, much LESS a late C4, with the newer body, newer interior, and LT1. I bought it for 9 4 months ago and was told by corvette guys I hit right at market value. And I've put in over 1000 in it. so I think 8500 isn't unreasonable

I held powerseller title for almost a year and in that year I sold a lot of crap including a school bus, basketball scoreboard and a 50's model Catepillar motorgrater....

 

The first think that I learned was that you:

 

ALWAYS PUT CAPS ON YOU TITLE AND USE ALL THE CHARACTER SPACES!! NR

 

Cause is stands out more over all the other titles.

 

And it even stands out over the bold cause thats just a waiste of money and you might have one other person using that feature...

 

You really got to sell your item to make people interested in it... Like how you hate to let it go cause its one of my favorite cars that I have owned... Especially those times when you pull up to a light and you bark the tires and think to yourself, yeah thats American Musle Babe.. And I know its only a 350 but for its time it was in its prime..

 

The other thing that seems to do the truck is that its pointless to do a starting bid of $1000 or anthing like that especially when you have a reserve. It cost you a percent more starting off that way and sometimes items/cars get overlooked...

Start it off at $0.01.. You will get 5-10 more watchers and people will stick with it till the end because they have found interest in your item...

One time I thought that I was buying a sweet home alabama dvd. It ended up being a vhs because of my error... I paid the starting bid at 4.99 plus 7.99 shipping..

Once I found out it was a vhs I relisted it starting at $0.01 and it sold of like 10.49 + 6.99 shipping... The bigger the item the bigger the difference...

got one guy,He'll have the money in 3 weeks, if it's not sold by then it's his. Asking 9K locally on craigslist, since that's what they are running around here.

      The oil filter has NOTHING To do with oil leak. GM sources parts from 1,000's of vendors and as with anything mass produced, flaws are unavoidable.    Putting a larger oil filter will do nothing but satisfy emotions. The OEM filter is designed for the engine and perfectly capable of handling the demands on the engine. Oversize oil filter could result in reduced flow and overall lower oil pressure.

      You're better read than that Atlas. 😏   British science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke formulated three adages that are known as Clarke's three laws, of which the third law – that "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" – is the best known and most widely cited.   Stribeck and the pivotable Hersey Number isn't voodoo nor snake oil. That part is physics. It's what marketing and bean counters do with it that is snake oil and voodoo.    Stribeck is the relationship between Hersey and the Coefficient of Friction. Within the Hersey Equation if viscosity and viscosity is 'Dependent' on.......heat.......and.......viscosity index or the temperature to viscosity slope.    Specifically Hersey is the viscosity AT THE TEMPERATURE IN THAT LOCATION FOR THAT SLOPE.   Hydrodynamic lubrication exist when the film thickness in the location is 3X the Ra roughness of the surface. This is irrespective of the hardness of the substrate. To obtain that thickness X viscosity is required for Y velocity at Z load. That's a lot of moving parts. It is also impossible to maintain in an ICE but nearly possible with a turbine under constant load.    What does that mean? Error heavy and operate light. Wear is inevitable but the rate of wear and the milage obtainable are a function of prevailing conditions and HABITS. The only penalty is viscous drag and at fractions so low as to be well worth the effort. Double the life, half the manufacturing carbon foot print. Greed is the only impediment.    The materials generated by SwRI are the RESULT not an estimation or a hypothesis.    Don't delude yourself sir, EV's have as many pitfalls as ICE's. We just don't know what they are yet and it will take longer to sort as MARKETING and GREEDY CEO's have had more time to polish the turd they are selling.

      You can always count on greed to prey on ignorance and stupidity.    Friend bought a 2019 Ford Flex and asked me about using Valvoline R&P 5W30 in it. Told him give the miles on it and the fact it wasn't yet using oil that it was a good plan. He uses a Valvoline quick change shop for his oil service.   First they tell him that isn't the oil the OEM recommends. He told them he didn't care what the OEM thought. Then they floated the, "But it will void your warranty"    His reply was it's a 2019, there is no warranty and informed them their knowledge of the law was lacking.    Then they tell him 'But it will ruin your motor"!.    Mine to ruin he says. Finally they give in and charge him 150% the semi-syn price    Point it the brainwash is so embedded that even the service industry is drunk on their swill. The public is right behind them. Echoing the same lies on every forum and media platform. If the end goal is indeed EV then I'd say that ship is about built.
