A little part of me like this :D

A BIG part of me is like this :crackup::crackup::crackup::rollin:

I bought the truck early this year, only racked up under 3000 miles on it

I sold it yesterday. Without any hesitation whatsoever...it is gone.

Do a search on my screen-name...I had a few months cluttered with doubt/uncertainty, and a lot of posting.

BUT, all it was, was me getting used-to the NBS pickups. That's all. Never any problems.

Will I actually miss the truck?? No. I still love the 99-07 OBS, and they are cheaper by the day. No doubt in my mind, the 99-07's are the best build by GM.

So...just wanted to share the news.

Replacement??

Don't know yet.

I got a lead on a 00 Silvy, Z-71, 4x4, buckets, 5.3, duals, red.................

But really..not sure yet.

I've had several of each series of GM trucks from the GMT400 to the GMT900 and although I really liked my 01 and 05 Siilverados, the current Sierra is my all time favorite. It drives better than any truck I have ever owned. Even so... you really can't go qrong with the 99-06 GM trucks. They are top notch as well.

Good luck.

I love my 07, but I also loved my 2000. The new one has quite a few advantages/upgrades, such as Stabilitrak, more airbags, etc...and alot more gadgets. But I do think my 2000 was built tougher. But I can also say my 89 was built the toughest of all 3 of my GM trucks, but it was a bare bones truck compared to my 2000 and 2007. I guess that's what happens when you add a million safety gizmos, the added weight has to come off someplace.

agree. The 08 is nicer by far than my 00 was on the inside, and they're both fully loaded by the standard of the time. though i'm not sure about tougher, as i did $10k worth of damage to my 2000 by hitting a 3" diameter tree at less than 10 MPH.

Then there's my old 79 K5 Blazer. in a head on collision with the 00 or 08, the blazer would have needed to have the bumper pulled out a little bit while the gmt800 and gmt900 would have been totalled :D

You'd also be pulling your face out of the windshield if you were in the blazer. :D

Think test scenario type thing, not actual on road head-on collision. point is, mordern trucks are very foldy, and comparing the "toughness" of a GMT-800 vs. a GMT-900 is silly, because they are smooshtastic. (granted, this also makes them safer for occupants)

Yeah I see your point, but the new trucks, while they might come out worse than the older trucks did, they give you a much better chance of walking away un-injured. Unless of course we're talking about low speed collisions with 3" trees, then i'd rather be in the old truck.

I prefer to go around trees.

Yeah, I'd rather have the truck be smooshtastic than to have it try to make ME smooshtastic.
