Truck Troubles....

Driving to work today and get a Service Engine Light within the first mile....shortly there after I get a Service Stabilitrak Light and then a Traction Control Off Light.....don't really know what is going on....it feels like the truck is shutting down.....called OnStar and they reported Several Codes but the main one that the lady recognized was for the Oxygen Sensor and that it was running lean.....so anyway the transmission was also shifting very roughly and I was tired of messing with this as this has been the 3rd time in 3 weeks the truck has been in the shop....I had them send out a rollback and tow it in...

 

So a few hours later I get a call from my tech and he asked me if I have filled the truck with E85...which infact I just had last night......he said that the computer wasn't adjusting to recognize the E85 because I filled it with E85 and didn't drive it for at least 7 miles before shutting it down and that this was the reason for all my troubles.....does this sound like it might be a true possibility for all my troubles....I live 2 miles from the E85 station and I bet I have run E85 for approx 13K of the trucks 26K miles..and have never had this problem before.....I'm just wondering if this is really whats wrong.....basically he's telling me I am also going to lose my tank of E85 because they need to drain it out and replace it with 87 octane so the truck can re-learn....I'm also invited to bring down some gas can's and retrieve my tank of e85 that way if I would like.....

I can't say it explains everything your saying but give THIS. It explains E85 refills and why we need to drive them after a fill event.
