Trueflow Filter=loss Of Mpg & Perf.

about a month and a half ago i installed a trueflow filter in my 8.1 due to all the good recomendations i got for them. but all it did for me was lost me atleast 1 mpg and a noticeable lack in performance. now im sure they filter much better than the cotton ones like they claim, but with my 8.1 i cant afford to be loosing any mpgs. anybody else have this issue with them?

I added a Volant to my personal 5.3L 1500 Silverado, I lost almost 2 mpg and it didn't seem any faster. I think GM has the air box game down pat to be honist.

i added an airaid tube and a k&n filter and seen absoluty no gain,a 1/2 mile per gallon loss its been on my truck for 6 months and i do not hot rod it so i think the after market parts does nothing but make you feel good about blowing your money,gonna take the tube off this weekend and put the factory one back on when pulling my trailer and hit a hill the moan of the motor is loader then the stereo
