Different Style Leveling Kit On Ebay...

Hey guys, my friend told me about this different kind of leveling kit for our trucks, it looks like a spacer lift but doesn't look that strong.Not sure if this link will work. They claim they are easier to install and cost less. I don't want to go cheap to sacrifice ride quality and dependability. How the hell do you insert a link into this freaking post? lol

i think youll find most GMT900 owners have gone with the Rough Country route

the spacer that mounts betweent the lower shock mount and the lower A-arm.

Ready Lift has a spacer ( a tad expensive) that doesnt require cutting of the (3) strut studs ..

as always many ways to skin a cat / level a gmt900 .. :-)

That is the same style of spacer that is used in the Rough Country 3" lift for the 07-08's. Should work just fine.

Cool deal...I didn't realize a name brand company like rough country manufactured these kits, I thought they were some knock-off stuff.

I'm looking at the NCD or CCM leveling kits. Any concerns? To me the NCD looks stronger but what do I know.

I've seen those leveling kits used on Nissan Titans many times with great success. The front end setup is the same on them as the 07 up GMT900s. All the leveling kit consists of is a fancy spacer that goes on the top of the strut. A 2x4 block would hold it up (although not a recommended lift kit outside of Alabama, Mississippi anf parts of Arkansas) Ste spacer doesn't have to be overly strong since it basically sits sandwiched between the upper strut mount and the strut and is held there by gravity. There is almost no side to side force exerted on them. The bolts do little more than keep it from falling out and locating the upper end of the strut,

I installed the CCM kit with air tools in 2 hours with the help of a friend. the only downside is that the stock studs do have to be cut and would need replacing if the spacer was ever taken off. I would do the lower spacer (if I hadn't already bought the ccm) just for the ease of install and the ability to easilly return the truck to stock if the need be. Here is the after picture of my truck:

Same here. Had them on for 10,000 miles without any issues. Returning to stock on my truck would require a lot more than strut studs so I didn't worry about it. If you think that might be an issue, then go with the Rough Country kit. Also, get an alignment afterwards, as the spacer will throw your camber out of whack.
