04 Escalade Trailer Wiring Issue

I have a 2004 escalade and have an issue with my trailer lights not working properly.

 

The problem is that the pin in the 7 pin connecter at the truck for right turn signal and brake is always "on" I had it into a trailer shop and they plug in the 7 pin circuit tester and the light is on withouth brakes or right turn signal on.

 

When connected to my trailer the right trailer turn signal will work but when you put on but the brake , brake light will not come on.

 

Many friends suggested that it is a ground issue, so I had a tech remove the ground wire from the connector and filed down a clean spot on the frame and secured the ground wire, no change.

 

I have tried di electric grease and contact cleaner and no change, I changed the 7 pin connector on the truck today and still no change.

 

I have checked the fuse for the right turn, trailer brake and it is fine.

 

I can only assume it is an issue somewhere in the wire between engine fuse box to the back of the truck.

 

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

 

I have an f150 and when I hook that up to the trailer everything works perfectly.

 

I just bought the escalade used so I asume it had the problem when I bought it.

update, problem solved it was faulty trailer flasher relay.
