Paint Matched Front Black Air Dam 08 Silvy!

Recommended Posts

Yes, I had my front black air dam painted to match the bumper and corners. Some say it looks like two fangs hanging down on the bumper corners. Not any more! The professional auto body shop did an excellent job smoothing out the black texture and matching the paint. I'm very happy with the results. Total cost was $70 for paint and $200 labor.

Looks great,Ten times better

Normally I'm not a fan of painting that piece,However with your truck having a conversion package with a custom paint job,I don't know why they didn't paint it at the conversion company.

They are Bushwacker Fender Flares, they came with the conversion but you can get them online or at offroad specialty stores.

I thought that myself too. MajorLeagueBass said about paint chips but my bodyshop said as long as the primer is bonded properly to the plastic, I shouldn't have any problems. Time will tell....

Yeah,Rock chips can be an issue on those.

We use to get conversion trucks in at our dealership and they always painted the air dams/deflectors on them,We had some that had issues, most were OK though.

We don't get any conversion trucks or vans in anymore,They don't sell very well like they use to.
