Manual 4x4 To Electric

i have manual 4x4 on a 2005 silverado hd and wanted to switch to electronic 4x4. how much work would this envolve? i wanted to go from the bench seat console to the full length floor console.

I bet it could be donw...but i bet your wallet will be empty by the time you do it also....i would say that there are alot of sensors needed for the electric 4x4....best bet is to get a donor truck from a junk yard and yank the transfer case out and all the wiring that you can...then go from there. I dont think it will be a direct swap by no means. Let me know what you find out

Your going to have to have the BCM reprogrammed too. Not worth the cost & effort.

I think you are the first person i have ever heard of that wanted to switch from manual to electric, Why the change????? I wish mine wasnt electric in my 09.

You might consider modifying the shift lever to jog outside the side of the console and slot the console for the shift lever.
