Nnbs 1 In Lift

Don't think I've seen it on a GMT900, but it does look clean on the GMT800s. It would probably be easier to just get a leveling kit, and put a 1" larger block under the rear leaf springs.

Why do you want the 1" body lift, to clear larger tires or for looks?

Add a 1" lift block in the rear and a leveling kit to the front and be done. :)

Thats what I did

I ordered the rough country 3in kit for the front, and factory 2 in. blocks and bolts for the rear so I don't stack blocks(I know people have had problems with them but I am willing to change the ball joints once a year if I have to). And I am planning on running 33x12.50x18 Nitto T.G. on a 18x10 wheels with a -25 offset (4.5 backspacing) I have been installing lifts for years and just don't want a huge truck anymore. I am going to have to do some trimming even with the 1 in. bodylift. I guess I will be the guinea pig.

As far as I know, nobody makes a 1" or 2" body lift for the GMT-900's. Might have to get a 3" and cut the blocks down.

You can buy 1" blocks and bolts, but you have to make all the extensions like steering shaft, fan shroud, parking brake, bumper brakets and bed support. A real pain for little difference it will make.

Did you stack your blocks or just put in a two inch?

I stacked them,I know a lot of guys say you shouldn't,but I consulted with a suspension engineer who assured me two 1" blocks would pose no safety issues. I've had them on for a year & about 10k miles and no issues at all.

BTW...You will have to use new longer U-bolts also if add lift blocks.

A 1" BL? Damn thats pretty small. Didn't know there was such a small lift available, smallest I ever seen was 2".

DV2000NJ you trucks looking good! been awhile since I been on here

Thanks dude. :D

And Rich, I will sue you when your truck falls apart on the highway, and I crash into all your flying parts!

Really the only time stacking blocks is a problem is in offroad situations where you're flexing a lot. I'd just rather KNOW that nothing will go wrong back there, no matter what the situation.

With electric fans on the 2008 it should be easier. And I think I can just stretch everything else.
