Plugging A Tire

Can an LT E rated tire be successfully plugged? I need to buy new tires in about 6 months but was wondering if I could plug the tire for now. It was a screw and it's in the tread. I've plugged tires before but wasn't sure if the higer pressure and load on this tire would hold.

It should hold if done properly. If you're worried about it, take it in and have a tire shop plug it. They'll probably try to talk you into new tires now, but if you're adament about it they should plug it.

You should never use a standard plug in a radial. A proper repair is done from the inside with what looks like a large patch with an attached plug. A radial moves too much for only a plug, but done correctly, with the right patch, should outlast the tire. Mark.
