92 5.7l Tbi Easy Question (i Think)

Of course the old buggy has 180k on the ticker, but I am experiencing a little idle problem. Problem is, she won't stay running. I used to be able to sit at a light and it would drop down to barely noticable, like 400 rpm. This has slowly degraded and now she just dies. The truck runs fine otherwise and tosses no codes. Now I'm old school so the first thing i was looking for was an idle srew and came up short. Any suggestions, other than a little dab of JB weld on the linkage stop....

Thanks all, --Mike

Have you checked the fuel filter? Fuel pressure check? Have the TBI injectors ever been replaced? Fuel filter plugged or pump giving out would be my guess. Check the TBI fuel nozzles for a fine mist. If there is any dripping or poor looking mist appearance that will explain some things.

Filter is changed out frequently and the pump is the obligatory replacement unit. The injectors are factory units and I did the regulator rebuild about two years ago. I will probably pull the injectors and look for the culprit there...
