6.2 L diesel

I am looking at a 1990 Chevy van with the 6.2 L diesel. It has 29K miles. Any known problems with that motor? Was it a good motor back then or a lemon?

By 1990, in my opinion, the 6.2 was a pretty good, although very low power, motor.  I could try to remember everything that can go wrong with a 6.2, but a better Idea is just to reffer you to www.thedieselpage.com which has a big following among 6.2 Diesel owners.  The best stuff is contained in members only areas, but the membership is only $16, and highly recommended if you decide to buy the van.

 

By the way, that is astonishingly low miles, especially for a diesel.

The van was used by the US Air Force or should I say barely used.
