If I get my truck repainted sometime in the near future, should I have it painted as it is now (Indigo Blue & Beige Two-Tone) or... paint it flat black?

I'm about 50/50 on the fence with this. ATM, I'm kind of leaning towards the flat black. Part of me wants to keep the truck original because I spent all but about five years of my life with this truck, but part of me wants to make the truck my own.

If I do paint it flat black, I plan on leaving the bumpers chrome, painting the grille black, and then getting a polished billet insert for it.

Does your truck really need painted that bad? Cause my black truck has scratches on it and pock marks all over the hood I want to get it repainted but I dont know if its really worth it..

Big time. Passenger side is completely faded, clear coating is peeling off everywhere. The roof of the truck makes me sick. :jester:

However, if you'd only look at just the hood and driver's side, it would look fine. That's why my sig pic is taken at that angle.

Y'know, I never had noticed the beige. I just thought the lighter color at the bottom of the truck (in your sig pic) was caused by the reflection of the grass. :jester:

Personally, unless you're going to do a lot of other customizing, I'd stick with the stock colors or at least stock-"ish" colors. Maybe repaint it Indigo and leave the beige off... or, like someone else said, metallic black... or something along those lines.

To me, I'm not sure it'd ever look right with a flat black paint job, without lowering it and doing some other mods that seem performance related.

But, that's just me.. Everyone likes different stuff and different things work for different folks.

I say solid Indigo Blue. I hate color changes... they always look like color changes.

I'm with Jim on this one. :jester:

I thought about this all today (didn't get any work done either), and now I have three choices instead of just two! The first two are just basically echoing what you guys said.

1) Keep it completely original. Two-tone paint, fresh molding, and keep badges.

2) Paint it entirely Indigo Blue. No more two-tone, moldings, or badges. Paint match the grille and get a billet insert for it.

3) Say "to hell with the paint!" and use the money to build up the drivetrain.

I say a combo of 2 and 3. :D

If you're going to paint it though, DEFINITELY number 2. Get a billet bowtie to go with the painted grille too. :D
