My pick is for Texas. Although they "Hooked" the Sooners last week their defense still gave up 35 points. Missouri is coming off an emotional loss and Chase Daniel is pissed! I think this one will be a street fight and Missouri will open a can of whoop a$$. Sorry Zembonez but I gotta go with the Mizz on this one. :D

Texas is the trendy pick because they're #1 and "their defense gave up 35 points..." blah blah blah.

 

In all honesty I didn't want to be #1 because of the bullseye and stigma that comes with it, especially this season. Do I expect this game against Mizzou to be easy? H**l no. I didn't expect the OU game to be easy either. If our guys come out just as prepared as they were last week then I think we'll have one heck of a game this weekend, and hopefully the same result as this past weekend.

 

I hope so, because then we have to play OKLite (OK State), and I know they're tired of losing to us in the last :30 of the game...

 

So, TX 52 Mizzou 38

 

Basically, I picked 'bama to fall because they're #2, and I didn't want to knock anyone in the BIG XII

I certainly don't expect to win in Austin this year (haven't won there since 1940 something), but maybe we won't be owned in the 2nd half as in recent years.

I expect TX to come out on top in the Mizzou game in a high scoring contest, but I said the same thing of the OSU-Mizzou game and look what happened! :D

I think Texas will prevail at home. They rarely lose at home and I don't think Missouri's defensive front can contain them. Offenses will both do well. Texas defense is also somewhat porous but the offense is a much stronger unit.

 

I predict something like 38- 24 UT.

 

For the record, I really thought OU would prevail last week. I was quite happy when they did not. :D

I agree Jim...WTF? :jester: You would figure more than just 4 guys watch football on Saturday. :D Maybe they are still reading ESPN and trying to come up with the "Magic" formula to figure out who is going down. :D I can tell you that one team will not move...of course my Gators because they have a bye week to get ready for Kentucky and then the BIG GAME in Jacksonville. :rollin:

One surprising team that SUCKS this year is Virginia Tech. Ranked 17th and not worthy of that.

      Can ask that about a lot of places.   Holiday sells 91 for $1 over 87 octane. BP 93 is 80 cents. Amoco 93 is 80 cents Kwik Trips is $1.20 for 92 or whatever they have and $1 for the 91.   I know that this is not exactly same as what you are saying with the premium to premium debate of those two stations but why is there such a difference. Top Tier this and that, it's all BS. All the fuel comes from the same damn refinery, so give me a break.

      Why does Mobil Premium cost 90 cents a gallon more than Shell Premium when their regular offerings are but pennies apart?

      Was all the way down to $3.69 a gallon but then jumped back to $3.99 just because for some reason.   Diesel floats between $4.80's to $5.10ish a gallon. I even saw Diesel #1 for $6.09 today but nobody in there right mind even buys that in the summer.

      Mine just keeps lagging or getting stuck on the reverse camera. When I turn off the truck, get out, and close the door it will still stay on. It’s very intermittent and I would not be able to duplicate the issue.

      I was checking out fuel prices at my farm fuel retailer at their pumps and yes the farm price is a bit lower than the non dyed fuel and was glad to see that the regular farm gas price has dropped a lot from what it had been but what blew me away was the price of diesel as the spread now compared to before the prices went up earlier in the year, diesel was actually slightly lower than gas which was a switch from the theme the last number of years. However that sure isn't the theme lately and definitely not right now. The prices I will post are not from that retailer but just looking at gasbuddy for the main city in this area and instead of posting the lowest price someone found I will list the higher price ( and that may not be the highest price, just whatever someone posted on gasbuddy ).   So regular gas and there are a lot of stations listing the same price for regular is 1.68 a liter, premium 2.00 a liter. Diesel 2.03 a liter for a top price I saw on diesel.   Figures out to 6.36 a us gallon Canadian funds for regular and 7.68 for diesel. With the US exchange rate it would be 4.58 us for regular and 5.53 for diesel.    Thought I would figure that out to get a picture of what it settles out like compared to various US prices and its about the same as the current price in Fairbanks AK as Anchorage tends to be lower. So yes, these would be the prices and higher along the way on the Alaska highway where they know they have a captured market !, for fuel prices for those beginning the long drive back to the lower 48   The problem is our Canadian dollar and going to the states that have the high prices, boy do we pay then !
